You have to go to your local library and get "The Writer's Market." It's a reference book so you won't be able to take it out--so allow yourself some time to look at it.

Check your local newspaper, in the events section. Sometimes they have them at local libraries, and they list them there.

Well it depends on how big the contest is. Then you might have to pay a bit. Well why do you go ask your local library? I'm sure they would know better since there are different contests in each state. And you can search up some events in your city online. And try asking your school or council if there are any contests coming up or some place around them. Maybe you can even convince them to make their own contest!
