Writing To A Prompt

Marsha Said:

I need a writing prompt about immigration?

We Answered:

Go to CNN.com and type in illegal immigration. I saw a story of an elderly person and the book that she brought with her where they teach them all the ways to suck money from our government when they get here.

Francisco Said:

Where can I find a daily writing prompt online?

We Answered:

You should check out my favorite writing site: http://StoryMash.com/

StoryMash is a collaborative storytelling site that allows anyone to continue any story by publishing new chapters. They also pay you a small amount for each chapter, but the best part is getting feedback from the other talented writers.

Philip Said:

I need a great video/movie clip to go along with a writing prompt for an English class. Any suggestions?

We Answered:

I don't know your intended topic, but what about Last Lecture by Randy Pausch? It's a sad start, but the theme is quite uplifting. Within 3 minutes you know the theme: helping people achieve their dreams.

Wilma Said:

Can someone give me a good writing prompt?

We Answered:

i like writing too. i don't have any good suggestions but here are key elements in any teen love story:
-two girls liking one guy or vice versa
-unapproving parents
-rich guy, poor girl or vice versa
-the lovers have odd family relationships and the families are enemies
-large choices that involve leaving your family and eveything you know about or being with your lover
if you get a book published be sure to thank me in your "note from the author" thingy
you dont have to actually just an idea

Frederick Said:

Do you have a good dramatic writing prompt for me?

We Answered:

Even the wildest of women cannot keep up with me sometimes.
My life is a strange mix of running and hiding, coupled with a brilliant way of taking what I need to survive.
In the course of my lifetime I have been a model, a writer, a teacher, a prisoner, beat up, shot at, robbed, stabbed, ran over, and have committed every crime short of murder and rape. Such atrocities should be abhored by anyone who is a true survivalist-and I am the best at what I do.
You live by the sword, you die by the sword-that's what sensei used to say. I remember wishing that man would shut up on more than one occasion, but have sorely missed his wisdom these last few years.
I stared out of the window of the rented accura and watched the snow fall against the darkness, being lit like shimmering light here there where the street light would blend, I thought briefly of returning to Japan, where I might take in the beauty that is not seen anywhere else in this world. America was a thing of power, where many things could happen, but it often lacked the sincerity of natural beauty and the wisdom of its people like one could encounter in the far east.
Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted as the mark came flying out of the warehouse across the street. He appeared to be headed away from me, running like a man possessed. It was a strange thing really-all I was to obtain were pictures of him and a lover. It was quite odd to find him here in the first place, and now this?
All I could make out was the dark shape of his dress coat against the cold crisp December air as I climbed out of the car. My hand froze on the door handle and the situation became even crazier......why were there two sets of foot prints......scanning the night I saw another shape one that may have been human...or an animal.....somthing was crouched up ahead- next to a tree-watching the man run....

Take that and run with it girl! let me know how it goes!
