Writing Prompts For High School
Mildred Said:
I need some inspiration for my school application? We Answered:
Just start writing. Write whatever comes to your mind even if it has nothing to do with the questions. Spend at least 20 minutes getting your brain in gear, don't walk away because you can't think of anything, you need to spend time to get focused.A) What is your favorite thing to do? Video games, watch TV, gardening, horseback riding ?? Colleges teach courses in just about any subject, so there can be a course for anything.
B) What do you see? Well? Really look.
C) Well come on, you gotta have an answer for this! Did you ever read about someone in one of your school books that seemed really interesting? Are you a huge fan of someone? What about a dead relative? Just spin it to make it academic.
Make sure the answers seem like you. During my son's interviews at two elite prep schools he spent most of the time discussing his favorite video games. (He's a top student, but schools want to know what you are all about.)
Use your brain! = )
