You're complaining because he's a really easy teacher?? Be happy you have this guy! I have friends at a different school who take AP US and they had to write at least 40 essays during the entire year along with a whole bunch of other stuff. The personality part, not much you can do about that. Some people have personalities you like, and some like this guy have ones you can't stand and just have to try to put up with. If you don't feel like he's preparing you enough for the AP exam then talk to him about it or study the AP prep book that you can buy at a bookstore on your own.

At least your teacher gives SOME work to try to prepare you....my AP US teacher last year didn't teach me anything. He did current events (not even on the AP test...) for like 40 min of class and put on a video the other 40 min. We watched WOODSTOCK for like 2 weeks and only had like 3 quiz/tests the entire year when we covered 30 chapters.

The school year is almost over anyways, you have what, like 3 months left? You'll get through it! No one said you HAD to like the guy.

The answer to your questions is YES, I acknowledge every mailed gift I receive when I get it, if I don't have time to send a thank you card, I call & say thank you to the person that sent it to me. Just to let them know I actually got the package & that it arrived safely. If she does not do that to you, then you need to speak up & let her know you expect the same thing she does.

Your situation....
She says, she does....whatever, it's gotta stop. Come on, it's just packages & thank you cards. Do you really think it's worth all the stress your putting yourself through. You should TALK TO HER and tell her how you feel & work this out like grown adults should be doing.
