This is a 5 (times 2, which would be 10/12). you can go on collegeboard.com and read essays that recieved different scores. The thing i would tell you to do to improve the overall effectiveness of your writing is to not try to sound smart or sophisticated. I have a teacher who told me to write like I am explaining something to a friend- this way, you are free thinking and more creative, as opposed to limiting yourself to what you think sounds smart. Make sense? This is just a guess at what would improve your writing; I dont know anything about your writing style or intelligence, I would just guess that what I have tried to explain would help for the overall cohesiveness of the writing.
Basically this is really strong, and it may be even higher than a 10, but it needs a little more tying together and a little more transparency.

Don't use contractions - "do not" generally sounds better than "don't." Or rather abstain from using those kind of verbs at all - "Conventionalism is generally rejected by the people because" or something like that.
