It's extremely good. I like how you've appealed to the reader's sense; the imagery is very powerful.


However, I feel the first part seems like a list..(I saw this, then i saw this, I went here, etc). If you could manage to describe what you're seeing without actually telling people you're seeing it, I think it would make your essay even better. I hope that makes sense.


Personification is a good way of alluding to sensation e.g. the sunlight danced, or the wind moaned.
