Set up the story in the past... The cousin and the boy made a bet (The cousin expected to receive the watch because he won the bet). Then come back to the present and follow the boy to his cousins house, however on the way there he is teleported back in time (think "Ground Hog Day" the movie) to the day of the bet. Each time he is teleported back he tries different things to get out of the loop, the only way out is to win the bet. Have fun With he end... Have a morale to the story (e.g. the only way he was able to win was to give the watch to his cousin or something).

What's her problem? But even without details there are some generic, wide set answers. Tell her to follow her heart, think about her personality, wants, and needs and go with it. Another answer might be: Look at the problem logically, approach the problem logically. Think it through and be practical. Be safe and think of how your decisions will effect you and others. I hope this helped a little.
