I'm wondering why you've been given this prompt, when the conditional tense, which would be useful here, is not taught until Spanish 4. I guess we'll just have to go with the present tense for this.

From your avatar I assume you are a guy. A lot of sentences you could write would be really short, like "Me ducho" ("I shower"), so you should try to make the sentences more complicated so the essay isn't like two lines long.

For example:

"Necesito llevar traje porque un baile es una ocasión especial." = "I need to wear a suit, because a dance is a special occasion."

"Antes de reunirme con mi pareja, recojo su ramillete." = "Before meeting my date, I pick up her corsage."

My teachers have also said that you would get a zero if you are completely off topic. However, it seems like your essay does have 'something' to do with what the prompt addressed. Perhaps you would get partial credit.

My friend had taken the French exam last year and she also misinterpreted the prompt slightly. However, she ended up getting a 5 anyhow.
