Sat Writing Prompt
Isaac Said:
What books and or Authors look good when used on SAT writing prompts? We Answered:
Go to your AP English teacher and ask for the list of books from the College Board. These are the typical classics you might expect. Below you'll find a typical list.Matthew Said:
Should the SAT writing prompt be answered in first person? We Answered:
Listen, they DO NOT care about 1st person or 3rd person or 2nd person - try to stay consistent as much as possible and stick to the one you end up using though. Just back it up with evidence - you can make up something about your brother getting caught cheating and getting kicked out of school even if you don't have a brother OR you can write about a book.Tips:
1) Write a thesis, some support (3 support paragraphs would be ideal but it's better to have only 2 or even 1 main VERY well argued point(s) if your 3rd support point would be extremely weak) and a conclusion.
2) Don't try to flaunt your vocabulary to the extent that it distracts you from writing the essay. If you have a great word and it's the only one that comes to mind, use it. But the main point is to write it all out since you only have 25 MINUTES!!! If you miraculously have time to go over your essay, fix grammar, THEN insert the fancy vocabulary words.
3) WRITE AN OUTLINE in your booklet (not on the lines provided though, those for your essay only). Just a quick thesis and some bullets for your points and then a conclusion will do.
****** REMEMBER!!!!! *********
It's better to have a well argued paper than a flowery, perfect paper. It's skimmed as a rough draft - grammatical mistakes are fine. LASTLY DON'T FREAK OUT! It's the first part of the exam and I flipped out thinking over and over again, "Oh, gosh! I'm taking the SAT!" Just focus.
P.S.
Good luck and you'll do great as long as you don't freak out! If you do, it isn't the end of the world! =)

Can u look at my response to a SAT writing prompt? We Answered:
From a first impression perspective, I believe that the length of your response for the SAT is quite short. Also, the SAT prefers length and, in almost every preparation book, emphasizes that you should try to throw in three body paragraphs. At the moment, unless my eyes deceive me, I see only two. The SAT also likes to see a sense of balance in that each paragraph should approximately have equal length. However, your introduction and conclusion seem to be way too short compared to your body paragraphs.I'd give you a more detailed analysis, especially many errors in the second body paragraph that the SAT hates (although it is very acceptable in real life), I find my attention going towards something else. The topic sentence, are you trying to say that we should try to become perfect? Or are you saying that we should try to become perfectionists? Because the latter, in my point of view, doesn't seem to answer the prompt.

do SAT writing prompts have to do with history or government at all?We Answered:
The essay prompt is something that you can't really study for. It's usually an introduction about a topic and asks you for your opinion.
Just focus on giving clear points and details and don't ramble on about unrelated things.
