Picture Writing Prompts For Kids

Marie Said:

Ladies: Why do some guys who are smart and nice get stereotyped by women as being...?

We Answered:

Well I cannot speak for all women...but I think that people have this perception of gay people when they do not even interact with gay people...The gay men that I know are not really calm about confrontation...they actually get more irritated about things more than a woman...I mean most of the gay men I know get extremely defensive...so I am not sure why or how a woman can confuse a "nice straight guy" with a gay guy...I am not saying all gay people I know are like this...but like I said the ones I interact with definately get very defensive and confrontational...not very calm at all...

My son can read a bit and print, but he'll be 3 soon and can't answer questions when asked, not even his name?

We Answered:

It's probably nothing but maybe take him to a psycologist and get him tested for autism/asperges

*Asperges is a condition similar to autism, where the child is very smart (you said he is only 3 and can already read and write to some extent) but they don't develop social skills very easily.
Some things to take notice of is
-does he feel pain, or only notice he's hurt himself if he can physically see a cut/bruise
-if he see's something that he wants (like a pen or a toy on the other side of the room) does he notice anything in its way (like if your between him and the toy does he sort of push passed you without noticing to get it)
-does he line things up, or put things in neat rows (this is probably the one that fits most people with asperges)

Another moment of my parents making me feel rlly socially awkward?

We Answered:

Parents are often weighed down by the stress of holding a family together. Financial burdens and other adult worries tend to make us less sympathetic to creative aspirations. I am sorry that your parents treated you like that. I know you said you would pay them $2.00 for the ink you are going to use but the problem is that it costs much more than that for a new cartridge and perhaps your parents are not sure if they will be able to afford a new cartridge when this one runs out. The economy right now is so unbearable for many people, some of us are just trying to figure out how to keep our homes and feed our families. The stress of this has sent some people into major miser mode and they are afraid to spend anything that does not go to a direct need.

Although your parents should not behave like this and your grandmother shouldn't either, I guess it means you have to develop a thick skin and just do the things you like no matter if someone else approves or not. Enjoy your music out loud if you want to and if someone has something to say... tell them to stuff it. No one should have to alter what they like just because it isn't popular at the moment. There are other people out there that like the same things that you do and maybe they are hiding it too. If you bring it to the front and let people see the things you like, you might just find someone who has the same preferences you do.
