My first piece of advise is DO NOT try to change to be like his ex, there is a reason she is the ex and you are the present....

Secondly, although it is going to be really difficult, try to let it be, if his ex phones you, just hang up do not even talk to her. The reason why she keeps calling is because she gets the desired reaction from you (which you are entitled to). If you do not talk to her and ignore her, she cannot run to YOUR HUSBAND with stories and lies because he will know that you are not talking to her.

If things work out with your step child that will be an added bonus, but if she has been poisoned against you, it is going to be very hard. Wait for the right time and hopefully you will eventually end up having a relationship with her. When she sees that her father is happy she will soften towards you. Good Luck

He sits with some friends
After a while he walks over, they talk
They exchange numbers
He leaves, they never talk again
They are both in love with each other
After years of disconnect they finally meet up at the same place and fall in love all over again
yaay!
