Dana Said:

Security deposit return request letter. Input?

We Answered:

I would get a attorney to write the letter. I would also take the person to small claims court.

Should I bother taking the SAT again - only to improve my essay?

We Answered:

I happen to grade essays for scholarship applications (not for the SAT). As part of the process, I look at SAT scores, ACT scores and school transcripts.
I notice that many students take the SAT a few times, and that about 50% do a little better or about the same and 50% do worse. So, think carefully.
You might be better off thinking of how you will answer the essays on your scholarship applications.

Are you tired of Welfare Fraud? Want to Comment?

We Answered:

I agree, and I do. and for bookish, she obviously has no idea what she is babbling about. I personally have seen 6 people jailed that had multiple aliases and was cheating the taxpayers. I sat on a jury at one trial, the lady had over 20 aliases, and drove a Bentley and lived in a mansion in BelAire. That was NO myth, she got 25 years for it, and lost everything. These people deserve to be reported, they are abusing a faulty system to the point that those who really need it have a difficult time.

Gettysburg Address relating to todays society?

We Answered:

The answer is a bit broader than looking at how far we have come as a nation in 150 years.

We have accomplished a lot towards equality in economic, political and educational opportunity. But whether we have been "reborn" remains for future generations to understand and relate for us. While American blacks are "better off" than their ancestors, we would certainly all recognize that racism and bigotry are as much a part of our everyday lives as it was in the 50s or 60s.

Your answer lies between the realities of the 50s and the now. While we have accomplished much, there is still much to accomplish for both races. Blacks and whites must both seek some "equality" for their opposites before true progress can be made or measured. Perhaps the historian/anthropologist who predicted a "bronze race" as the eventual solution to racism was closer right than we know even today.
