I am telling you this because that should not work with a proper config.

Tell your school's IT guy and if he will not do something about it tell your principal someone is very bad at their job.

Also like the guy above me said, schools can be dumb about computers and when you bring their security issue to their attention they may blame you.

You could be saving someone's hide in the it department because with a error in the policy like that you could do things much worse than shutting down the computer.

Odds are you will get in trouble if they find out who it is but you may be helping your schools network by forcing them to practice better security.
