Girl wakes up in the woods and finds herself lost. She wanders off and is found by a couple who adopt her. She finds that she has this strange ability to heal people of emotional or physical pain, and a few years pass in which she does many good things. Then, she is told she was adopted, and all the pain she has been holding back comes forth and her power changes from healing to hurting. Anyone she goes near remembers their worst experiences, and people start avoiding her. She tries to find her birth parents, and faint echoes of memories are all she has to go on. She is reported to the police and the info makes it to Defense HQ or whatever who want to capture her to find out about her inner workings, and she finds out so she rushes off into the night, leaving her "Adopted family" who love her less because of her melancholic presence.
