Don't second guess your answer. My interpretation is that you could take either position. When it says " should be able" you can take the position that you should or the position that you should not be able./

the FCAT is one of the dumbest tests ever, it just tells the state if your school is teaching you right. they are giving those other peoples dumb shiny trophies so that other idiots say "awww not fair, i want one" and then they study more and do well the next year therefore making the school look better.

if you are getting that upset about a stupid standardized test, then i am sorry to put this so bluntly... but get a life. i have taken the FCAT tons of times and when we got our scores back nobdy cares. if you really want a dumb trophy that says "your super, look at you! you are an FCAT STAR!!!" then get over yourself. the fact that you are getting this upset about the flipping FCAT is truly sad. find a hobby. maybe try water color painting, or get a puppy. you obviously need to reconsider your priorities if you spend your life getting upset about the FCAT and then going and complaining online.

while a mean spirited and sarcastic answer like this will most likely make you continue to cry, get over it. violence is not the answer... so do not hit her. what do you mean "what should i do?? omg :( ??!!" who gives a crap. what are you... in third grade? sorry but in real life no one goes home and cries if they don't get a golden trophy. reality sucks, get over it.

Congrats on preparing! I'm a 3rd grade teacher in FL and know that my students are anxious about the FCAT also. I searched online and found a website from the Florida Department of Education which has some SAMPLE prompts. Here they are and I'm including the link below. Your teachers may even give you these samples to practice. No worries! You've been preparing for this since kindergarten so just use everything you know!

Expository sample:
Most teenagers have chores. Think about why it is important for teenagers to have chores. Now write to explain why it is important for teenagers to have chores.

Persuasive sample:
The principal of your school has suggested that watching TV causes students' grades to drop. Think about the effects watching TV has on your grades and your friends' grades. Now write to convince your principal whether watching TV causes students' grades to drop.
