Expository Writing Prompt
Antonio Said:
Ideas for the prompt, "I wish..."?We Answered:
"I wish that I had one hundred wishes."It can be about a person who wishes for wishes. The person gets everything that they want, but eventually discovers that they didn't know what they had until it was gone. Their final wish is that they could go back in time and not have the wishes.
Stella Said:
Explain in simpler terms how to write an essay on this prompt? We Answered:
Contextualized means it was written in a certain (context of )a time and place. (such as the 1960's.)They want you to discuss or (tell) about the diction (words used) in the article about the bomb shelter. What words were used that tell you the writer has a bias(a prejudiced or slanted point of view?) I didn't see your article but if the writer said something like the people who live in bomb shelters are crazy, paranoid, nerds. You would say those words show that the writer didn't respect people who built bomb shelters and he had a bias against them. You would pick out the words crazy, paranoid and nerds to support your opinion that he was biased and that created a negative tone (or emotional feeling).
