Ok, sounds like it is an argumentative essay. You need to decide what side you will take and have 3 reasons why. The easiest way to set it up is like this:

Introduction : topic and thesis (where you stand)

First point (usually your second weakest point, or paragraph #2 with 2-3 examples or explanations)

Second point (your weakest point, or paragraph #3 with ex)

Third point (your strongest point, you want your reader to remember your best stuff, use examples!)

Conclusion (why you just proved your point)

You should try to gather some info to back up your opinion. Remember to cite the source. You should be able to find lots of reasons, examples on the internet and the explanation is how you see it.

Here is an example of a thesis: Parents should absolutely be responsible for crimes committed by any child under 18. Parents need to raise children to follow the law....etc.

Oh, the irony! Not creative enough to come up with an idea, LOL!!!!

Do a "what if". Then go from there.
What if an alien moved in next door
What if I found a message in a bottle...from the FUTURE
What if my boyfriend turned out to be a spy
What if the "red phone" line at the whitehouse got switched with your cell phone and you heard something terrifying?
What if you saw your own face on the milk carton

Think of your own wild what ifs and then go from there for a short story. You can easily write 10 pages, even more with a single idea like that.

First think of a core idea: like HORROR or A DAY AT THE FUNFAIR. You know what I mean. Go for it. Then, just jot down all the words that come into your head.
