The significance of creative writing, is that there is in fact no significance.
It would be like asking what the significance of any art is, music, painting etcetera; other than a reflection of the human condition of that person at that time.
However one could say that there is significance to be found in observing the change of creative writing over time. for example, in the 1500's, there would be less open creativity than there is now, and this creativity would progress over the years.
Creative writing takes time to think about, and an author draws from their entire life when using their imagination. It is the combination of what has happened and the 'could be' phenomena.
To me, any creativity is the reflection of the collective human('s) soul, and its progression through time.

Well if you want something that will intrest your teacher try things under U.S. History. Ex: Civil war. Or if you want something that you will enjoy try like maybe sports if you are into them or what you do after school. I hope that helps:)
