Charlotte Said:
how do you format a compare and contrast essay? We Answered:
As an English teacher, I teach my students to format a compare/contrast essay the following way:Paragraph one - introduction
Paragraph two - compare
Paragraph three - contrast
Paragraph four - conclusion
However, if you have many details for each comparison and contrast point, write a paragraph each for the ideas.

Compare and contrast the causes and results of the French and American Revolutions.?We Answered:
on a basic level, American Independence was sought because they felt they were over taxed and under(completely) represented. The French revolution was more to do with the complete failure of the existing political system. (Absolute Monarchy)Joanne Said:
Compare/ Contrast paper!?We Answered:
Your teacher means, to explain and compare "what the authors/stories wanted to say", either just their message in general, or what they wanted to say, "as a reflection of society". I haven't read those, but for example, say Story 1's message was "the devil exists in everyone in some form" and story 2's message was "only situations can be perceived as evil, not people." Then you can think about why this author has two different messages about society.Or, you can find a common message about society within the two stories, and write about how the author portrayed the message in two different storylines/settings. How did situation 1 in story 1 differ from 2? How did this difference support the message? How did the differences change nuances or interpretations of the msg?
Hope that helps!

Comparison and Contrast Essay about Neo from the Matrix and...?We Answered:
Sounds like you're looking for another character in an alternate reality (i.e., they're transported to an alternate world). Keeping with your movie theme, here are a few suggestions that are comparable to Nero:-- Jim Carrey's character in "The Truman Show" (he wants to escape his fake life)
-- Toby McGuire and Reese Witherspoon's characters in "Pleasentville" (one wants to stay in the alternate reality, while the other one wants to leave it)
-- Bill Murray's character in "Groundhog Day" (again, trying to escape an alternate reality
Good luck!

Possible thesis for Compare/ Contrast essay? We Answered:
I would suggest changing your point by point plan to c/c by characters in order to meet the 4 paragraph requirement:I. Introduction and thesis statement
II Heathcliff's conflicts
III Barnes's conflicts
IV Conclusion
Btw, I think your sentences need to be shortened to be more clear. Also, the word "differently" seems to modify the wrong word (love) and needs to be moved to modify "accept"
For example, would you consider:
Both Heathcliff of Wuthering Heights and Barnes from The
Sun Also Rises accept the conflict of not being able to be with the one they love. Their different actions reflect the stereotypes placed upon them at the time. For example, (1, 2, 3). Each character's conflict stresses the importance of the ongoing social affairs of the time.
