Off the cuff, I'd say it'd be easier to compare it to the Russian Revolution, as the Russian revolution is a bit of a cleaner cut than the Chinese Revolution of 1911, which gets overshadowed by later changes. So it'd be easier to compare the murkiness of the Mexican revolution ( let's be honest, when did Mexico not have a revolution trying to get started) with the Russian one.

As to the quick organization, try who were they rebelling against/ situation prior to revolution, opposition forces & events during the revolution (don't forget foreign intervention in all three, I'm sure your teacher expects at least a passing mention of Pershing), and lasting effects of the revolution.

To my mind Sojourner was writing about her suffering and cry fro freedom. whilst Lincoln was writing about the suffering of others to bring relief and freedom
