Martha Said:
Question for anyone who has taken the CAHSEE exam?We Answered:
I took the CAHSEE in February. The English portion was rather simple, as it mainly consisted of reading comprehension, grammar review, and also an essay. It took approximately one hour to complete the entire test, which, if you are a "good" student, isn't very long at all.For the essay, the students had to write about something "so obvious that everyone could notice it". I wrote about body language, and as body language is not obvious at all, I really regret choosing that topic.
However, I haven't received my test results yet. I'm hoping that I passed one of the subjects.
The math portion had ninety-two questions, including a questionnaire of ten questions (the questionnaire isn't graded). The math was a bit harder than I expected. The first fifty questions were basic algebra, very simple. The other forty-two or so were very unfamiliar, and I did not recognize them from any of my math classes.
But, if you've done some light studying, I'm sure you'll do fine!
Best of luck!

I think I failed the CAHSEE! Is my thesis alright? We Answered:
You had to write about an object or place with lots of charactor ie (you had to write a place/object and describe its distinctive qualities), not a story with different characters.Don't worry the essay portion is only worth 4 points out of howmany questions there were(80-110?) so even if you had left your page blank, you would still pass.
And to pass the test you have to get at 55% of questions right.

So..what did all of you CA HS sophomores write for your CAHSEE essay? We Answered:
yeah! i had that one too!i just took it today and i think i didn't do too well on it because i didnt get to recheck my essay for grammar and spelling.
i felt like i was in a rush girl.
anyways, i wrote mine on an acne treatment.
i actually made up most of the stuff because my teacher told me that i can make up the facts as long as it sounds real and that they don't even look at it, but i'm still worried.
i think i did bad on the English part because i was really nervous. i hope you werent nervous like me, but i hope i did good and pass it because this is like th biggest thing in my life right now as well as everyone who took it, too.
i hope you and i pass too.
that goes out to those out there who took them too. =]

What should I do, leave it be and allow hilarity to ensue, or change it and save myself from punishment? We Answered:
Dont worrry about it. They do not really care what the story is about. What they are looking for is grammar, sentence structure, organization, puncuation, spelling and format. So, in your childish little protest you still gave them what they wanted.William Said:
CAHSEE english question?We Answered:
