I never saw Standing in the Shadows of Motown, but the music business now is nothing like it was back then. Today's industry thrives mostly on Visuals as back then it was the actual music itself which sold. Most of the big time artists these days are molded by their labels to sell merchandise. There is so much work that can easily be done in the studios that today ANYONE can be a great singer. Back in the days of Motown you HAD to be able to sing and normally write your own songs. Today the Major Labels are run by people who are only after the dollar as compared to 40 years ago when it was all about the music.

I can see you as another Mickey Spillane who dreamed up the detective Mike Hammer, or Raymond Chandler who dreamed up the detective Phillip Marlowe. Pick up a couple of these books and read them.

The bottom line is if you can write something like that on an enjoyable whim, think what you could you do with something constructive ????
