Becoming A Writer
Jon Said:
Name of that english mystery writer who used to work for an investigation department before becoming a writer? We Answered:
You might be referring to P. D. James. She spent thirty years in various departments of the British Civil Service, including the Police and Criminal Law Department of Great Britain's Home Office. I don't know what the "English Department of Investigation" is.http://www.randomhouse.com/features/pdja…

What are the chances of teens becoming a writer? Or having your book published as a teen?We Answered:
You're in school and you want to write. Good.Being published as a teen is slim, just like being published at any other age. You can, however, up your chances by doing more research about the industry. Really get to know how it works, and how to present yourself to the people you need to contact. Those people are editors and agents. Learn about their jobs.
I know that you need to do more research, your statement about your teacher and parents gave it away. Saying that sort of thing won't sell your book. I don't say it to be cruel, you'll understand more once you start learning about query letters.

How do I go about becoming a writer for movies or maybe even Producing/Directing?We Answered:
If you fancy your writing, I suggest picking up some books that detail exactly how a feature film needs to be structured and start applying your stories and characters to it.One book I recommend is Story: Substance, Structure, Style and The Principles of Screenwriting by Robert Mckee:

I'd also recommend professional screenwriting software to look after your margins. Final Draft is best, I use it exclusively:

Once you have a spec script ready to be sold, you're on your way. Get yourself an agent in the industry and et that screenplay shopped under as many producer's noses as possible. As soon as a studio or producer buy the script or express interest in developing it further, you're officially a screenwriter.
From there you could propose to assist in producing the film, making you a producer.
To be honest, there is a lot more to Directing than you might think. I am currently studying it and the learning continues to get deeper and deeper. I'd start with writing/producing, especially as you state you have writing experience already.
Get cracking and best of luck!
