Autobiography Writing Prompts
Heather Said:
Does the prompt for the UPENN optional application essay change? We Answered:
The prompt very well may change for you./Christian Said:
I want to include a fictional story from my life in thirty years on Harvard App, is this advisable? We Answered:
What you want to write appears to be a description of your goals, rather than fiction. It will not be held against you if it is clearly indicated as your hopes for the future. However, it will also not be held in your favor. Universities receive numerous essays about students' desires to be humanitarians. However, universities are much more interested in how students have already overcome challenges to accomplish what they have already done, than in the students' future desires.
The UPenn prompt, though not unique, is an exception to this more general rule.

Can someone please read my essay and revise/edit and give me advice on it?We Answered:
It sounds okay....Just look back on the grammar of it, replace some words with others and where you say "knock knock" try... There was a knock on the door... "one dream accomplished... Ready for the next" change it to that too...

I need to write a one- paragraph rebuttal of Hitler's blatant racism.?We Answered:
Hitler hated Jews. I don't know what passage you read, but presumably it listed the reasons. What you need to do is list those reasons and say why they are wrong.Cheryl Said:
Autobiography?We Answered:
many many years ago...when I faced this...I actually started by writing about my next birthday...and over the 'day' I used flashbacks...made it a more interesting way to weave together the bits and pieces of my past...don't know if that will work for you...but use it as a hook, find something about how you write it that makes it not the same boring stuff...
"Bleary eyes focused on the noisy clock blaring on the bedside table..."

Why do conservatives say such silly things? We Answered:
Because we all no there's know such thing as trolls that comment on videos...Stephen Said:
Question on World War I. How was Britain's future changed by the war compared to what it was like before? We Answered:
Read "All's Quiet on the Western Front". It is about the German side. How they spoke of the glories of war and battle and the how the young men felt before going into the Army and battle and what happens to them once they see and experience the real thing. Graves is somewhat like that, but from the Brits side. The Revolution in Russia that gave the world Communism. Scared the Brits because of their unfair labor practice's that they could be next for Marxist type of revolution, so to cut it off they passed all kinds of positive labor laws and allowed some unions to form.
It is just that WW1 with the ugliness of war and its high cost in men and resources plus the Influenza outbreak of 1918 that killed over half the worlds population and infected 3/4 of those left, along with all the political changes in the world just killed the old way of thought. The old dream of the Empire and Rule Britannia was gone, never to return
