networking is proven to be the #1 method to finding a job. Ask your friends and family members and neighbors if they know of anywhere that is hiring. And just because your a guy doesn't mean you can't babysit, but I could understand if you didn't want to. But anyways, ask around to see if anyone around you knows a place that is hiring.

Relax. You have appeal rights. Appeal tribunal will allow him to speak. Keep in mind that "hitting the door" was not what he was discharged for, but took place post-discharge, and will not stand up under scrutiny from the appeal tribunal. Many of the examiners are just not that savvy or bright. Make sure you follow the instructions on the determination (bc-75), and file your appeal within 14 days (if you receive an adverse determination).

Unfortunately, in UI adjudication, there are many cases to be resolved, and many issues per case (in some circumstances), so the examiners like to go by their own pace.

Appeal tribunal does a de novo review, so your hubby will have ample time to state all the pertinant facts.
