As a New Zealand educated doctor with no practical experience, how can I get a doctors job in China? We Answered:
There's Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) . Why not contact them? Here's some info:http://www.msf.org/msf/countries/asia/en…
You could also start out as an English teacher, then go from there. Jilin University has a well-known medical school named after a foreigner (Norman Bethune). Or apply to some medical schools in China as an English teacher (English teachers are desperately needed at many universities in China, and you qualify because you have a university degree), and I think that before long you'll be hooked up with medical assignments because of your qualifications, ancestry, and Chinese language fluency. You'll certainly be welcome by so many communities - both urban and rural - on a volunteer basis, to start. Maybe as a young man you'll have to develop a reputation and some contacts before you get an actual job as a doctor.
Here's the (long) list of the medical schools in China:

Good luck!!! ??

live and work in New Zealand? We Answered:
You would be earning a lot more than that as an accountant, I assure you. My estimate would be a net income of about NZ$ 3000 to 6000 a month. If you want to live outside of Auckland, my recommendation would be Nelson or Wellington. Christchurch and Dunedin are also nice, but much colder.
If you like mountain settings, Queenstown, Wanaka, and the currently still somewhat sleepy Te Anau might be steaming hot tips.
To get your qualifications evaluated, do an NZQA assessment (available via the immigration services website, http://www.immigration.gov.nz ).
Bringing family is no problem.

Should I move from the US to New Zealand? We Answered:
I used to live in New Zealand, but now i live in America. I am moving back this summer and i can't wait. I plan on going to college in New Zeland after high school. New Zealand has an extremely high education level, so you will be sure to achieve a very good degree. i also want to get into magazine editing, seeing as my mothers best friend is a manager at draft (a world known graphic designing company) new zealand is more of a hands on country when it comes to the career Field, more on the creative side as you are most likely interested in.i encourage you to move, they have excellent student loan opportunity's there, and great benefits. Interests free student loans are also a plus.
the jobs do pay very well, only because of the cost of living. min wage is around $11/h!!! and finding a place to live is a piece of cake. "rooming" is a huge option as well.
Seriously look into it, its a beautiful place to live, school, and work. Good Luck!

How would you persuade the Immigration officer in New Zealand to give you the residency ?We Answered:
Nothing you write would change their minds. It's so sad to see hard decent people that want to migrate to these countries but are rejected. I am one of them..., but certain people get a green light to enter their country and they are not half our quality. Look what is happening in the UK with the internal attracts from the kind of immigrates they have chosen. It's their lost my friend lets stay were we are!!!!!Charlene Said:
Does anyone have concise info on New Zealand's gun laws?We Answered:
Does this help?http://www.colfo.org.nz/Reference_Librar…
What is your husband's particular worry? Perhaps I can find out the answer to a specific concern. The general rule in New Zealand is that no one gets a gun without a permit and you don't get a permit without very extensive background checks and a legitimate reason for wanting one. 'To protect yourself' is not considered to be a legitimate reason for the average citizen - in fact if you gave that as a reason for wanting a firearm, you wouldn't get a permit.
Additional comments:
Being a retired police officer and having experience with firearms will help rather than hinder your husband's ability to obtain any special licences he needs to own and use a pistol. Here's another wbsite - which is for the Auckland Pistol Club. You can get more information from the site, plus, I would suggest that, when you have a series of questions formulated, you contact that club directly by email. They give contact details. I'm sure they will be able to give you full and accurate answers to those questions.
