You are probably on to something with your letter idea.

Like anything that is hard to get, you must just put yourself out there and let everyone possible know what you want. Contact every college in the country and ask them. You might get lucky, especially if they know you are interested. It may save them from conducting a national search.

Obviously there are a ton of schools in the Mass. and New England area.

Try to get an entry level tech job w/a company like user support, that way you'll only be helping people in the office. Also check and see if the school you graduated from has any openings. You just have to keep looking they are out there. Your not alone in not wanting to do customer service, the good ones don't that's why we all have to deal w/stupid customer svc reps. Oh - and don't be afraid to check out temp agencies, they may have a job you can do to get you some experience, and possibly a foot in the door. Good Luck!
