I disagree with the people you've spoken to. Going to a place like Oxford, for law... that's one of the top ranked programs in the world. Second, behind Cambridge, in the UK. Seriously, very prestigious, so much so that doors will be open to you (often via the alumni network, which is quite powerful) that you won't even realize exist should you go to someplace else. However...

LSE is ranked #3, and if their fees are significantly lower than Oxford's, and you like them, they would make an excellent choice. LSE is also a big name law program, quite prestigious. If I were you, I'd likely be torn between Oxford and LSE.

Behind those two, I'd put a gap in terms of reputation, then Bristol as a solid third choice. Manchester fourth. Then a huge gap, and Leeds, then a massive freekin' gap, and Brighton, which I don't think you should be considering if you got into LSE and Oxford.

But LSE and Oxford - those are powerful names, and if you like either one, you should *seriously* consider going there. Where you study law can really matter in terms of what opportunities are open to you afterwards, and at which firms. Don't discount that factor in your decision, but do try to pick a uni that fits you very well, and where you'll like it, so that you can do well there, because in addition to the rep of your program, it's also important that you do very well in it.

What can I do with my life?

We Answered:

You may be surprised, my first month at college was pretty bad but the rest of the two years were some of the best times I've had. Follow your dreams of music in your spare time and keep going to college, I'm guessing you're not paying to go there (age 19 and younger) so If you don't like it after spending more time there then quit.

This doesn't really answer your question but you should base your school decision on more then just which will set you up best for a job after. Apply to all of them and visit them and try to talk to students that already go there to get a feel for what the school is really like. Most people meet their best friends there that they have for the rest of their lives and some even meet their future husband/wife. Yes, getting a good job after is very important but you have 40 years after graduation to work on getting the perfect job. You only have 4 years of college, so make the right decision.

Teen looking for paid job?

We Answered:

Do not do anything online.
There are so many scams out there it will make your head spin right off.

Look in the classified ads section of your local newspaper, or check out your local paper online.
Also contact nearby amusement and water parks - they should start interviewing around this time of the year.
