Applying for California State Job but need to take the Written Exam?

We Answered:

You have not indicated the position for which you have been interviewed !!
Before going to the interview, review the "Position”, "Examination Information”, and “Scope” sections of the examination bulletin. In your interview, you may be asked to tell the panel of two to three people about your education and experience and how they have prepared you for this job. The panel will have reviewed your application before you come into the oral interview, and may ask you some situational questions and for more detail on your qualifications. It is in the oral test/interview that you must demonstrate your qualifications to the panel, who will rate you competitively.

Jane Said:

Accepted job with company in California, but better offer has come along.?

We Answered:

Yes, you can always quit a job!

An employer cannot sue you for recinding an offer. You can accept and then turn around and quit a week later before you even start. Nothing the least bit liable about it. In fact, it happens all the time. I've seen it happen twice. Managers who hire a lot have seen it.

You always take a the best job, even if it means recinding an offer you just accepted. Obviously, the company you recinding will not hire you again but that's the simple price you pay. You always do what's best for you. You are perfectly entitled to quit a job anytime, even before you start it. Employers know that too.

Go ahead and take the job you really want.

Charlotte Said:

In California, do jobs even care if you do weed anymore?

We Answered:

Whatever you might think its quite obvious to me that the voting population doesn't want it legalized. In all the jobs I've worked in CA random drug testing is still a condition of employment. You have a good day now
