I've been doing some work with http://www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. Yes you can claim your expenses on schedule C. You will have a loss to use against your other income. You must be in business to make a profit so the rule is you have to have a profit three out of five years. If you do not it becomes a hobby. with a hobby you report expenses up to the income allowing no loss.

Absolutely you can work from home and make money. I used to work as a Marketing Executive and Manager in the Mortgage and Title business. I was tired of making of the commute to work, and wanted more time to devote to my family and personal marketing ventures. I work for a company from home doing customer service for a online clothing retailer (its a lot of fun) and I also work from home as a Independent Consultant for a line of Health and Wellness products that I tried and loved and decided to sign up as an Associate so I can share my success and make money! no. not unless you use those phones and electricity for that purpose. You used to be able to but nowadays if your audited they will want to see a seperate room for your office... as in just used for work maybe even seperate from the house. Has to have a door kind of thing.
