There are hundreds of sites where you can find articles by expert authors that you can use on your web site. Just be sure that you understand and abide by the terms of use, which you'll see on each site and each article. Usually that means that you may not change the article in any way and you MUST include the "resources" box, also called "about the author," so that you give proper credit to the author.

Ya know - a lot of it is about being in the right place at the right time. I cannot begin to tell you how that worked out for me. Anyway - try resumes. Send them to local newspapers. You can also get a copy of Writers Market which has a lot of magazines that pay freelancers in the back. Writers Weekly is an online newsletter you can get that has lists ever week of live leads. There are also live leads at Absolute Write Water Cooler. Since you write stories, you might also Google anthologies accepting submissions and do some surfing. Getting in anthologies and writing freelance won't make you rich, but it does get your name out there.

I get as much research on it before you use it. However, most stay at home jobs just sound too good to be true. I suggest starting your own blog rather than give your ideas to others.

Just go into (say) elance and get your feet wet. There are lots of postings to go through and the directions on how to contact and bid on postings is very straight forward on the site.

Best of luck to you. If you are a good writer (particularly in the area of marketing) . . . you can do quite well (financially that is)

Try article writing area first ~ short and focused pieces that can be written quickly. There is competition most surely. Just jump in and give it a go.
