Is there any job opportunity for Music programmer who can compose, arrange ,play and record Music on PROTOOLS?We Answered:
absolutely, talk to local radio stations as well as advertising firms and tell them about your services. i am a musician myself and i write and produce and do session work. i am also a pianist, vocalist, and a music teacher. i am double majoring in music and communications and music is used a lot in advertising. as far as protools you can use it however it's no longer the industry standard because protools is destructive in recording as well as editing.use mark of the unicorn, that is nondestrcutive. the style that you are talking about relates to electronic music, which began the era of the synthesizers. yes, there are job opportunities and in fact the studio realm is not using analog recording that much anymore, they are using digital. you are doing the right thing. :O) if you need more info. how do aspiring writers get to write shows like SATC and other shows? We Answered:
If you want to write for TV, you really have to work at that as a career. It doesn't necessarily matter what you major in in college, because you get experiences to write about in every major. (But you should get a degree.) It would help to go to a college in L.A. because you could start making connections and getting internships. It would probably help a little to take writing courses, especially TV courses at some place like UCLA.The key is that you have to live in L.A. and you have to start working as a poorly paid assistant, maybe a couple of internships. Write write and write more, and get get people in the business to read what you write. Maybe you can move from a crappy mailroom job to a crappy writer's assistant job. And you just keep making connections, writing more, learning more and moving up.
Just remember that you won't be able to write just whatever you want. The "show runner" will rule the writing stable. Anything you write on your own is a sample of your ability, but you will likely be given assignments. But that's only after you've really gotten to know people pretty well, and they are familiar with your writing.
If you already love to write, and think you have some ability, you might look into the Disney/ABC fellowship, where they really throw you into the business of TV writing and you make some very good connections. (I put the link in the source section.)
Good luck!

Is there a name for this kind of "job", and how much does it pay?We Answered:
Well, quite a few actually. You could review video games professionally for Magazines or Television (G4 anyone?).
You could be a Story Writer for a game design company.
You could be a professional QA (Quality Assurance), which can lead into other good paying jobs.
You could also be a professional paid Beta tester. This is probably the least well paying job out of all of them, but you get to play games before they come out for all sorts of companies, and its pretty fun.
