How To Write A Job Bid

Steven Said:

Help me write some fictional history?

We Answered:

1. I might be interested but not completely sure. There are some improvements you'd have to make.

2. Back story of this much detail is generally a bad idea. It's good for you to know, but certainly is a bad idea to try to reveal in the story. If you really need to share this much back-info, then you clearly need to start the story at an earlier time. Try to avoid massive info-dumps and only reveal a little back story as needed to improve the story you are telling. Even then you should include the information within a conversation.

3. Crystals? Orbs? Whatever. That really doesn't matter to me. If that's what that world's magic dictates, then fine. What does bother me is nuclear-weapon-sized weapons that can be launched by a captain. If he's that close to the target, he'd kill himself and his own troops. Why bother to attack any city? Just drop a magi-nuke on it and be done. No reason to commit your troops to be anihilated as well.

4. If you want something besides just massive destruction, make the nukes an anti-magic bomb that would temporarily counter-act all magic on the other side, letting your people be supreme for a while. Perhaps the bomb wipes out people's minds, leaving them drooling idiots.

Watch the time of your back story. A lot of changes would occur in 4000 years. If these nuke-bombs could be made that long ago, imagine what they have now! And others could have developed the same spells, or copied a bomb they 'found' in another dimension. It's also unlikely that a civilization could survive that long without fragmenting or just collapsing altogether. Also; a continent tthat could have supported a large enough population to lose millions without being destroyed 4000 years ago would be absolutely massive today; in the tens of billions at the least.

Michelle Said:

What should i write in the letter to my MP?

We Answered:

Yes, you should write to him at the Houses of Parliament. Just tell him what you told us about not understanding the points system. He will then probably write back to you saying that he has passed your letter on to the Minister concerned with the issue then you might get a letter with a copy of the minister's reply. If you don't, write again but I find the MP's usually reply to their constituents.

Wilma Said:

Should I put a mechanic lien on her house?

We Answered:

The law in the U.S. says that if you have a written contract, but later make changes to the agreement verbally, unless both parties agree that the verbal changes took place, the written contract will override anything that was verbal.

If you really feel that she's going to flake out and not pay you, put a lien on her house now. If you think she's going to pay you but just needs a little more time, you should wait, but give her a strict deadline and call if immediately if she doesn't pay by the deadline.
