The fact that you care is great, but I wouldn't hire you based upon your emotional statements and personal beliefs. A cover letter is a little narrative that is an accessory to your resume to help sell yourself based not only upon your interest but also the talents you can offer.

That said, your letter is a way too gooey for me. Helping people is your biggest joy in life---you made that clear. But can you change a bed or assist someone into a wheelchair? Do you have the ability to prioritize your work---are you efficient? Do you know how to help with a bath or feed someone? What is your experience? Are you willing to learn?

Caring is a great start, but you wrote three entire paragraphs about it.

Address your letter "To Whom It May Concern" or better yet, call the place and find out who to send your resume to.

You don't have to try hard from the start. If you try hard as you possibly can you can make it!! I believe in you!! I have some really nerdy friends, and I'm sort of like you. My grades aren't good but when I try they improve. A lot. So who says you can't be the same?? Try your very best for university. Study hard, ask your dad for a tutor if you need to, or ask your smart friends (yes, they do come in handy :D ) to tutor you. They'll listen to you and they'll help you. There's resources online to help you as well. You can still try to get into university! You have to believe in your self and you can definitely do it !! The best of luck to you.

See a legal clinic. You can divorce her on the grounds of abandonment--and if she doesn't return, how is she going to get 1/2 of your property?
