We Answered:

The job market is rough right now. In a few months things should be much better. Then one will have no problem finding what they want.

Eleanor Said:

jobs in the environmental journalism field??

We Answered:

Try some art-zy mag. They are usually into emotions and not facts.

Luis Said:

What are some good career ideas for someone who wants to combing writing with environmental conservation?

We Answered:

There's a few ways to go about it.
Mass media i.e. Blogger, travel writer, fluffy magazine journalist
News correspondent - many news agencies have an environment section now
Sciences and journal publications (usually involves research)
Technical writer - working with engineers of "green" products or rating EPA standards of products.
Policy writer - work with government agencies to write laws or regulations. Work with companies to write policy & procedure
Publication/marketing writer - work on ad campaigns

I've looked into Nat Geo myself. They hire experts in their field, not writers per se. A PhD and solid research is required.

I'd also suggest planning your education around a science major (Enviro Sci/Bio) with a language (English/journalism) minor.

Vivian Said:

How will liberals procede in writing the Cap and Trade bill?

We Answered:

The first thing written will be. Chase out all the American oil companies and bring in the European ones. Proof laid is Valero on a fire sale. They just sold a refinery in south jersey to a euro company. And they have 3 more up for sale, if cap n trade passes the oil industry will be a total collapse. Liberals fail to realize that its another stepping stone in the meltdown of our country.

Environmental jobs and a BA in english?

We Answered:

Lets see an English major, you know sounds like you would be a solid fit for a climatologist, you would not be burdened by any scientific knowledge, which seems to be the norm at this time...
Seriously, if you have an interest in environmental jobs, get a masters in environmental sciences or an MPH in environmental health.
Good luck.
