You need to go talk to the Education Center on post. They can help you, but as far as funding, unless your husband has 6 yrs in service, and plans on another 4, you can't touch his GI Bill. BUT there are a TON of scholarships and grants for military dependents.

Out of curiosity, why did you get a BA in something you have no plans on using?

Whether or not it is a wise choice depends on what you want the degree to do for you. Graduate work in creative writing is probably best suited for those who want to enter college teaching. An MA in creative writing would qualify you to teach at a community college. An MFA in creative writing, or a PhD in a related area, would qualify you to teach at a university.

If you plan on being a professional writer, then the MA will not be a requirement. Being a graduate student might help you make connections that can lead to getting you published, however.

The best option might be to discuss your career goals and the opportunities of the program with the chair of the graduate program or some other department professor. Bear in mind, however, that professors often have little experience working anywhere other than a university and have a vested interest in keeping you enrolled in the program. It's not that they would intentially mislead you, but they may not always know how you can meet your goals. For that reason, it might be good to talk to a professor whose experiences match your interests.

If you want to work in professional magazine writing, try to find a professor with that kind of experience. If you want to publish poetry, try to find professors who have published poetry. You can usually find this information on the faculty members' webpages. Go to the department website and see if they link to faculty pages, or if they have the curriculum vitae (CVs) of each professor.

Alot of people see creative as being 'arty' or being able to do something 'creative'. Quite often in employment situations, being creative means being able to think on your feet and make the most out of what resources you have.
Being creative to me is also a way of expressing myself, whether it be using colours (company/corporate) or themes etc.

There are lots of things you could talk about for wind turbines. The engineering degrees that would be most applicable to the design and installation would be: Electrical, Aerospace and Mechanical.
Electrical Engineers would design the system that transfers the power from the generator, converts it into AC current and then sends it out into the power grid.
An Aerospace engineer would design the shape of the airfoil and the angle of the blades. They would also make sure the design is strong enough to stand up more than the strongest winds that the area will see.
A mechanical Engineer would design the internal workings of the turbine. They would be involved in the design of a variable transmission to maximize power output of the generator.
