Well you can't start at the top, that's for sure. Get a job, any job, that is even remotely related to the type of art you do. Work your way up as you take classes and build your portfolio. Having any type of art related experience on your resume will help and eventually you can strike out on your own. You'll probably have to do other things to make a living at first, but in time you can build a career of full time free lancing.

Yes, they have every right. The Internet is a public domain, and everything you post is as public as standing on the roof and shouting it aloud. Therefore the company has the right to fire the person just the same as if he told them "***" in person.

If I were the manager there, I'd start the discipline process for those that are repeatedly calling in sick. Sooner or later, I'm sure I'd end up firing some of them, as I bet there would be some that would continue to call in. This would free up more payroll in my budget to hire people that actually want to show up to work.

I'd also ask your friend to help me keep an eye on the slackers. Give me a heads up when people are just standing around doing nothing. Then I can go over there incognito and catch them doing nothing when they don't realize I'm watching them. If I'm going to fire people for wasting company time, I'm going to need to be able to verify it for certain. I wouldn't be able to simply take your friends word for it.

Basically, writing to a large corperation will rarely get you any results. Write to that facility's head manager. He's the one that's ultimately held responsible for what happens on that site.
