Sheik Hilali was slapped down for his "uncovered meat" comment. He tried to say he was taken out of context but his intention was clear. He is threatened by the "weapon" that women possess. His quote:

"But in the event of adultery, the responsibility falls 90 per cent of the time with women. Why? Because the woman possesses the weapon of seduction."

and then goes on to compare men to cats and women to "uncovered meat"...

"If one puts uncovered meat out in the street, or on the footpath, or in the garden, or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, then the cats come and eat it, is it the fault of the cat or the uncovered meat? The uncovered meat is the problem! If it was covered the cat wouldn't have. It would have circled around it and circled around it, then given up and gone."

His expectations of men are low. He doesn't think men (particularly Muslim men) have the ability to control their sexual urges and gives them permission to act on their urges with this comment. He should never hold another religious leadership position.

Another good source is interchristo.org. Many ministries use writers on staff. Also 'The Christian Writer's Market' 2007 may be of some help, but that's mostly freelance. However, some of those companies or ministries may hire full-time, if you probe further.

Since I live in a predominately Christian culture, it's easier to communicate utilizing commonly understood idioms. Plus, saying things "By Odin's Beard!" or "It's like Vishnu's third incarnation..." would probably get me some pretty odd looks as well as some serious discrimination in this part of Texas.
