Ivan Said:
is it too late? some career advice?We Answered:
It is not too late to change majors. You can still change majors and none of your courses taken will be considered a waste. However, there is no need to take that decision in a haste, just because you didn't like some subjects. Everyone goes through that.After you finish you degree, you can get into bioengineering firms in a marketing role or as a sales engineer, which are people-oriented jobs. Secondly, just for your information, engineers don't sit behind a bench and work as introverts. They actually work on teams, go to conferences, and many good ones assist with marketing and product management, give presentations to customers, help support customer trials etc. The reason they are needed to do this is because they understand the technology and are in the best position to make technical presentations. So, your studies will help you in sales and marketing roles, which may be jobs suited to your taste.
I'd say get some two years of work experience following your graduation and also work on your GMAT. Two or three years of work experience plus a good GMAT score (plus an essay about your career goals, and references from your work) will be very helpful to get into a good MBA program in the US or UK.

could you check my english?We Answered:
I am applying for the Assistant Accountant position. I have enclosed my CV for your consideration. I am qualified for this position as I have substantial team work experience, insightful and rapid decision making skills along with a problem resolution oriented philosophy. This ability to work closely with people and make important and realistic decisions was formed through my experiences on a Fire Brigade and as a Lifeguard at a popular Italian beach resort. In addition to these assets, I have a strong academic background. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Business Economics and my Master's degree in Management Control. I also spent a year studying business at Durham University in the United Kingdom. I am looking forward to earning my CIMA qualification in the near future and developing further skills in my chosen profession. Thank you for your time and consideration.(Remove areas where you tell them what to think.)
(Your interview time is so near, don't mention it. You are ready to interview now.)
If they can give you the CIMA that is fine. Do not sound like you are taking the job to get the CIMA that will scare a prospective employer. You are only using them to get what you want. Let them know you plan to get it.
Okay, that's all I have time for.... I'm off to work myself.

What does "an academic result of 2.1" or above mean in UK?We Answered:
British system undergraduate degrees are awarded as follows, from best to worst:* First-Class Honours (First or 1st)
* Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1)
* Lower Second-Class Honours (2:2)
* Third-Class Honours (Third or 3rd)
* Ordinary degree (Pass)
* Fail (no degree is awarded)
Are you in the US right now? A rough equivalent to a British 2:1 for someone who attended university in the US would be for you to have gone to a reputable, appropriately accredited university, and come out with about a 3.3 GPA. A 3.0 may also be acceptable.
Carl Said:
Can you make this cover letter better for me (applying for a job)?We Answered:
It's a very good letter, but I think it's a little lengthy for a cover letter. I very well could be wrong because it's an entirely different industry than I'm used to working with, but here's what I would do. Your mileage may vary.The first paragraph reads a little awkwardly. Try this:
"I am writing to you in response to the advertisement on your website regarding the above position. My interest in the company goes back to a dissertation for which I interviewed your merchandising director, not to mention Ted Baker is renowned as one of fastest growing British brands with profit these days."
I also suggest putting your qualifications in relation to their advertised needs before stating where your interests lay. The detail may not be necessary, better to reference your enclosed CV and that you would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them in greater detail. Close with you're confident that you will be an asset to their organization, and if they have any questions or would like additional information about you, education, skills, experience, blah, blah, please do not hesiate to contact you.
