by looking at ur use of language in ur question it seems to me that this is a case of over egging the omelette. Get some basic advice on the structure of the journal and get on and do it - with ur experience it will be perfectly fine.

I do know of a few students in my (local) school whom are from expat families. All local schools prepare students of sufficient academic ability for Cambrige certification. However in local schools, there may be a restriction on subject combination, as certain subjects may not be offered in a school or that the school deems that only those whom have shown high ability (example scoring above 65% for Additional Mathematics for entry exam) are eligible to take certain subjects, since local schools are ranked by their O level and A level results. Also, there is a requirement to take a Mother Tongue subject, which a foreign student can apply for exemption subject to ministry approval.

If you just continue along with your math courses in high school, you should take calculus by 11th or 12th grade. That is all that you need to take.

As a programmer myself, I can tell you, no, you do not need to know a lot of high level math to program, but in certain cases it can help. A basic understanding of calculus is all you need to become a programmer, but universities and all will like to see you taking the advanced calculus.
