I would think that would be very possible to accomplish, but everyone is different and I actually like writing essays. I would say in the future don't wait until the last minute, but I am sure you will be able to get it done.

Despite the fact that you may be in the top 5% of your class, I would still write an essay for you application. There are a few reason why I would do so. The first and foremost reason would be that you should do it just in case the college/ university you are applying to is an exception to the automatic acceptance rule. Secondly, I would write the essay just to prove how good of a writer you are, and to should the admissions office how qualified you are in applying for the school. Third, I would write the essay to simply reinforce the fact that you are in the top 5% of your class because of how well you do in your academics, to show to yourself how great of a student you are. Lastly, I would write the essay simply to get more practice at writing essays, since you will need to know how to write great quality essays in college.

Try to go to the video store and rent the movie, if it's available. Otherwise write your instructor and explain what happened. Maybe he/she has a copy of the movie. I'm sure he/she will be understanding.
