Teaching Writing Skills In English

Tiffany Said:

What should I start teaching for a japanese student?

We Answered:

I start with the alphabet, the correct sounds of the different letters.

Then numbers, colors, foods, family, days and months, furniture.

The first verbs are want (a regular verb), have (slightly
irregular verb, and be (a very irregular verb).

These are the basics that are repeated so often, they are
the easiest to learn (lots of repetition)

How do you become an english teacher in Ontario?

We Answered:

I don't understand why you kids ask Yahoo when the easiest thing to do would be to go to one of your English teachers and ask. If there's a guidance or careers counselor in your school you could ask them. It's their job to help kids find out about careers.

A Korean Actress insulted the Filipino English accent?

We Answered:

making fun is ok....making fun of other people is not!

imagine, she even learned her English from a Filipino.

we don't hate Koreans, we hate her.

& by the way, happyslip is just making fun(of herself).

the actress made fun of the people. acting as if they are stupid.

it was instant karma.

most of the Koreans go to Philippines to learn English.

& she made fun of the people who taught her countrymen how to speak in English.

tsk..tsk..tsk..

Could you please correct English grammar mistakes I made?

We Answered:

Your written english is very good but I have corrected some spelling and grammatical errors:

Dear Mrs. xxx,

I was informed from a coordinator for foreign students that I have to pay a tuition fee for the next year by the end of March in order to keep my niece’s seat at her school.

Could you possibly send a written tuition fee notice for the next year by Fax to my home at 000-000-0000 on Monday?

Yujin is not a new student; therefore I wonder if we have to pay for the application fee or deposit this year as well. I'd like to know how what the total tuition fee that we have to pay this year is.

Yujin is not belonging to any agent. I know the school board pays ten percent of the tuition to an agent that a student comes from for kind of a fee-paying. However, we haven’t got any discount for her tuition. I worked on everything for her study in Canada.

I paid the payment for visa extension today and Yujin will bring the receipt to her school.Do I have to pay a tuition fee for the next year prior to the visa renewal?

Prior to paying the tuition fee, I would like to make an appointment with you next week on Monday. I need your advice related to my niece's education matters and her tuition for this as well. My niece told me that she would like to go back to Korea in February, 2010.

I look forward to hearing from you.

How difficult is it to be accepted for an interview to the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program)?

We Answered:

You are the kind of person they are looking for, so I think your chances of getting the interview are good. I would suggest being specific when you say you are interested in Japanese culture. Everybody they interview is going to say they are interested in Japanese culture. Then they are going to be asked what aspect of Japanese culture they are interested in. "I like anime and sushi", is the wrong answer. "I enjoy Jun'ichir? Tanizaki's literature" is a better answer.
