Who has the answers to the I to I TEFL online english course?

We Answered:

Isn't there someone at i-to-i whom you can ask? Surely they provide some kind of tutoring system? It's ridiculous that you have to ask other students for help and not the school itself!

Other online courses like ICAL provide tutors and feedback to students!

Should I take an online english course or not?

If you want to learn English emulate English every day. Listen to masterful and native speakers of English.

For written English, write to real people in English. Read real English in articles on Wikipedia. As you get better read stories by masterful native speakers, modern stories not old stuff. Libraries are full of new novels and short stories. To push your mastery of written English to the limit, read English poetry and discuss it with native masterful speakers.

To learn spoken English and acquire an English accent pick a few people who speak English very well. People on TV work just fine, if you can watch them regularly. Friends don’t work well for this but very good friends with a sense of humor are ideal. Now do as comedians do and impersonate them. Learn the subtle details of how the speak and do what they do. Real people will notice you studying them and mocking them. Don’t hide it. Tell them what you are doing and why. At first you will say everything wrong. Next you will caricature them and exaggerate. This is why they need to be really good friends with a sense of humor. Such friends will encourage you giving you advice and feedback. The result of practicing this will be that you study a good English accent very carefully and learn to use it as your own.

You do not have to give up your native accent to learn an English accent. You can have multiple accents each ideal in the right place. Native English speakers usually have more than one native English accent. Why shouldn’t you?

Everything I have said you can do for free whether you take a class or not.

If you take a class do it with real people in person. You can’t become a mechanic if you never touch a car. You can’t master English without speaking to real people. Online you don’t get the real people.
