Help with letter writing?We Answered:
Dear Ms JonesI am writing to ask for money towards the cost of replacing the carpets in my flat.
2 weeks ago (or better still, give the date), an underground water pipe burst under the floor of my flat, and this damaged the carpets in the * room and the * room. (say which rooms are affected) When I took the lease on the flat last November I used the last of my savings to pay for these carpets and I have no money to replace them.
I am a single mother on a low income and the cost to replace these (2) carpets is in the region of £x - I can supply copies of the original receipts from last November if required.
Please advise.
---------------
If the water pipe was a clean water pipe (one would hope so) then maybe your carpets just need drying out? If you have already taken steps to dry out the carpets, then include this detail, eg if you borrowed a washvac to hoover up the water. It shows you are proactive in resolving matters, rather than relying on the HA to do it all for you. Plus- can you claim on your (or their) insurance?

1st gr teachers-How common are letter reversals in 1st grade writers. What kind of writing skills can i expect? We Answered:
Reversing letters is very common in 1st and 2nd graders. Some teachers say it's laziness, but I believe it is just the child's not being aware of letter placement. The letters b, d, p, and q are the most messed up letters a young child will make until their hands are used to printing them.
