I felt your letter was very straight forward but how are your parents going to understand if they don't speak English? Please add you language under additional details so I can translate.

I also felt that you are going to make you parents feel very guilty. Is that what you really want? Or do you just want them to know how you are feeling and ask them to try harder?


Now here are my revisions:

Dear Mom and Dad,
As I get older, I feel as though I am moving farther and farther away from you. Someimes I think about all our memories being together, the happy and the sad. SInce we have moved to the United States in search for a new life and future I have felt extremely isolated from you.

I would like to address some of my concerns. I honestly am having trouble with some of my homework and neither of you have the education to help me do so. Could you please consider going back to school or at least try to learn the English language now that we live in the U.S. Also, it's hard for me to do everything like speaking for myself when your supposed to speak for me or going places alone when your supposed to be there with me. Sometimes I believe I am on my own.

I also think that you do not encourage me enough even when I got an 85% on my report card. You did not mention anything. I needed someone to show me how to travel on the subway and show me new routes and places for the first time, even if you didn't know. I have had to do all of this by myself.

There have been times I have gotten beat up in school and people make fun of my physical appearence. I wasn't able to tell you any of this, I felt and I still feel embarresed about expressing anything to you about my life.

My biggest complaint is to Dad. You have never even tried to learn the English language in order to get a good job to support our family. Our house is so small that I can't even bring the friends over that I do have. I don't have the privacy my friends have being that I don't have a room. With all of this pressure sometimes I just need to be alone to study or clear my head.

I don't have the privileges that other people my age get. All I am asking for is for you both to provide me with the things I need most and to listen to me sometimes. I think its too late to tell you about everything. I understand that in the beginning, sure it is going to be tough to get a job and make a nice living but please, for my sake, at least try. I do not mean to make you feel guilty but I needed to let you know how I am feeling. Thank you for your love that you have provided me with.

just google translate it like two sentences at a time. but if you're turning it in as schoolwork i wouldn't do that. if you have a native speaker translate it they might make a lot of slang mistakes and your teacher/professor will pick up on them and fail you. just warning. also google translate might do something similar except it might use the wrong vocab word that you aren't learning.
