(any teachers out there? help?) I need to know whats a good book for learning grammar and writing skills.?

We Answered:

You're far from dumb by asking for advice!!!

A great site to go on is www.skillswise.co.uk

Once you get there, choose 'literacy' and then 'grammar'. You can work your way through different exercises. You even have games to help with sentence construction, punctuation and spelling. It's a fun way of doing it.

You can also be help with paragraphs which will help with your information and help you to form a logical order.

Good luck!

How Can I Improve my writing skills?

We Answered:

If your problem is in regards to grammatical writing, like spelling and proper punctuation, simply reading formal writing (like novels, books, short stories, even poetry) is a great help. Reading is learning. If you mean improving your creativity, the way you put stories together and how you develop what's going on with your characters, that's entirely up to you. There's no way to learn how to write creatively. You simply have to expand your imagination, take something simple and make it great. I know you're 13 but if you can read through this and kind of get an idea about what they're talking about, you will grow to become a great writer.

Do you see the picture that's in the shape of a triangle? That's one of the most useful tools when starting to write stories. It is telling you how to order your events, so introducing characters and their settings (where they are, where they live), then introducing a problem, bringing the problem to a huge climax (kind of like in a movie where the bad guy and the good guy finally fight for the death!), and then calming the story back down again.
I wish you the best of luck!

What are effective ways of learning good writing skills?

We Answered:

To get a good writing skill, one should read a lot. Try to convey the message as simple as possible and as short as possible.
To begin with you can check your spellings and grammer using "spell checker". Can be even your Microsoft word. I did used "MSWord" whenever i have to write some sensitive mail to my client or my boss.
If you have some senior or any person, whom you think can help you, you can get suggestions from them.
Again to improve vocabulary, you should improve your reading habit.
I used to read some novels [mostly from sydney sheldon] as it had simple sentences and easy to understand. And the stories to wont be boring. Later I moved on to read other books as well [little boring ones]
This will eventually will let you to see more and more new vocabularies.
