Just how difficult is Icelandic to learn for a native speaker of English? We Answered:
Icelandic has kept all the grammar (three genders, two declensions, four inflections, five conjugations, three voices and ten tenses) that disappeared in Modern English and Modern Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Grammatically it is similar to Latin, Old Norwegian, Old English and Russian.Jane Said:

To learn English for a Hispanic or to learn Spanish for a U.S. citizen. What is the most difficult and why?We Answered:
As a 3 year old English speaking child who moved to South America I had to learn Spanish. It became my preferred language to the point that I forgot how to speak English...and I never learned to read or write in English. As a 15 year old Spanish speaking teen who moved back to the US, to rural Minnesota, I had to learn English from scratch. They are both difficult and they are both easy.
Spanish phonics are easier to learn. English is too confusing: i.e. to, two, too, dear, deer, read, read, red, reed, etc.
English verb tenses are easier to learn, Spanish has too many irregular tenses.
Then the problem is compounded by the fact that the language you are taught in school is formal, standard language. Meanwhile, the language you hear spoken by those around you are full of grammar mistakes, mispronounced words.
These days my pet peeve is when I see native speakers of either language make really basic spelling mistakes.

Why do Illegal Immigrants from Latin American not learn English yet Asian Immigrants try real hard to do so?We Answered:
Asian culture values education. Sadly, too many Hispanics do not value education.Personally, I think everyone should learn to be bilingual and/or multi-lingual. We need to start teaching languages to grammar school students to be successful such as Europe.

how to learn British English? The Real English? We Answered:
There are different words in the everyday vocabularies of American English and British English, and some well known spelling differences, but the vast majority of all words are the same and the grammar is absolutely identical; it is, after all, the same language. By the way, it is American English that is the standard English taught throughout Europe and the all world that is not part of the British Commonwealth..
