I'm from the US. But I recommend Canada, they're much friendlier.. also it would really depend on where you went to in the US. If you decide on the US I recommend Oregon :) We're very friendly.

When do you begin to learn English in your country?

We Answered:

I'm italian and I started learning english when I was 6, during the first year of elementary school, and it was optional. On the other hand french was compulsory. (This was nearly 17 years ago, now I guess english is compulsory from the beginning). I think it's really important to know this language, cause now I'm at university and some teachers tell you to study on books which aren't even translated in italian, and give you internet addresses of american websites...Here in my country latin is compulsory in the college, and to me that is a waste of time, in fact nobody in the world speaks latin any more; but you know, it's part of our tradition/history, so they teach it. I'd have liked better having 4 more hours of english a week than 4 hours of latin, anyway I survived. And of course it's easier if you learn a foreign language as soon as possible, and this is not just my opinion but it's science, so I can tell you for sure.
