How To Improve English Writing Skill
Lynn Said:
how do people improve their writing skill from readings? We Answered:
You can read really well-written books. I don't know your reading level but you can start with Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein". It has lots of good words in it. When you see a difficult word, circle it or write it down and look it up in a dictionary. Or, you can read a few sentences before and after that word to figure out its meaning (this is called contextual reading). Read lots of books, especially the classics. This shouldn't be a chore; read books that you enjoy.Over time, you'll see that your own writing improves. First, you will start imitating other writers' styles. Then, if you keep writing, you will find your own style. Good luck!
