Grammar In English

Dwight Said:

Punctuation and grammar English, does this sentence make sense?

We Answered:

Where is Lady Macbeth portrayed as masculine, manipulative and vindictive? You give the address for where she is portrayed as the complete opposite so give the address for the first example as well. Try something like this:

In Act _ Scene _ (or) In Macbeth, Shakespeare portrays Lady Macbeth as a masculine, manipulative and vindictive character.
---If she's portrayed like this throughout the play then you should mention how Act 1 Scene 5 is different---
However in 1.5 she is acts feminine and weak (try a different word--vulnerable maybe?) because she.... (I don't remember why).

Hope that helps, good luck!

Dianne Said:

Anyone can help how to improve my English grammar without going to school?

We Answered:

Ask someone who speaks proper grammer to help you in this area. In addition, have a few friends 'correct' your mistakes when you say them, right then and there. Just remember, don't personalize it, they are trying to help you. Some communities offer English as a second language sessions, which would not be like attending college. Also, check out your local community colleges, they may also have the same class sessions. If you lived closer to me, I'd help you out!!!

What are Informal and logical fallacies in the English Grammar?

We Answered:

Your teacher might mean deductive and inductive fallacies. Logical fallacies might be expressions like "center around" (which is mathematically impossible) or "I could care less" (which has the opposite of its apparent meaning) or even "America: love it or leave it" (a false dilemma of artificially limited choices)? Unless this was explained in class while you were nodding off, I think your teacher is just showing off.

What is known as a tag question in english grammar?

We Answered:

It is where you ask a question after a statement - it makes the statement less positive or assertive, and seeks confirmation of what has been stated. Tag questions are a feature of women's talk, an example would be, 'Susan has lost a lot of weight, hasn't she?' 'Hasn't she?' is the tag question.
